We love this place. It's our go to for work or just hanging out. Such a great location and great vibe.
Great service today from a lovely friendly girl and food delicious - 2 x salmon, fish and chips and ravioli plus deserts . Our two friends who hadn’t eaten at the restaurant before were impressed with food and location .
We had a wonderful evening - thank you so much for your hard work, great food and fantastic service.
Lovely food and beautiful view although would have liked the table positioned better for the view. Friendly, helpful staff although there was a mix up with the desserts. The food was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Plenty of parking. Would certainly recommend it and will definitely visit again.
Beautiful, quintessentially Auckland venue, lovely attentive staff.
Nice establishment with a beautiful view, place was virtually empty with plenty of staff but service was pretty slack with multiple different servers not knowing what they were doing... we ordered the Seafood platter as an entree (specifically came to this place for Crayfish with the platter which we were told wasn’t available after we had ordered...) the platter was yummy though and had us excited for our mains which ended up taking a wee while and tasted average at best. The Crayfish in the linguine was like rubber and the salmon dish was bland so we ended up sharing mains to switch up the flavours. Other than that would probably come back for a coffee and snack to enjoy the view. Thanks!
Great location, food good but not many healthy options. Service is fine but a little amateur.
great music and location poor service and average food
Very noisy - had to shout across table of 4 - average food & stingy cheese board . No atmosphere - full lighting . Overpriced for quality of food .
Excellent service for our firm Xmas party in the Navigator room. Had good food and the views are awesome from the outside deck. All went according to plan. Well done to the team at Akarana Eatery
Must comment on the excellent service given faultless. Thank you for a lovely experience
Amazing team and outlook into the Harbour. Thanks guys, G
Yes good food and nice enviro Please be sure you keep the open dinning with good table spacing Many of my friends and I do not continue into eating facilities where it is overcrowded If the landlord charges so much that you need to jam people in or if you are greedy Then get out of hospitality become a banker or some other bottom feeder ...Good day today Thank you
Very helpful and arranged for me to order from breakfast menu. I had just had a tooth extracted.. we were there at lunchtime and the restaurant was full.. very efficient waiter with a sense of humour. Thanks and we have a reservation for next week with another group.
Disappointed the online menu hadn’t been changed so we chose from there and it wasn’t possible. Excellent service. Paying a premium for location and view
Invited friends to join us for brunch. From the moment we arrived we did not feel welcomed and service was poor, Had to leave the table to ask for more water and again to put in a coffee order, Waitress did not smile once. Meals were received promptly but top-heavy with 'greens'. No acknowledgement as we left. Lovely location - meal was acceptable, although the pancakes stuck to the bottom and sides of griddle pan (the best part!). Realise it was busy and full house but no excuse for very average service - wouldnt rush back and nor would our friends. Thank you for the opportunity to comment.
Service was prompt and friendly. Beautiful and inviting place. Definitely value for money. Certainly visit again whenever possible
Kia ora, thank you for accommodating our team day food and beverages needs. The Akarana Eatery was very flexible in seating and timings on food.
We had booked a table for lunch stood around for 10 mins trying to eyeball someone to show us our table. Once seated we tried hard to make eye contact with someone to get some water, eventually it turned up after about 10mins. From there everything went smoothly, quick service, good food, possibly a couple of healthier options on the menu that weren't fried would have been good, but altogether delicious. Really nice staff once you had their attention.
Just had a beautiful lunch there today, the sun was shining and it was a glorious venue to sit and watch the Americas Cup boat speeding past. We had a fantastic Australian waitress who was friendly and chatty, and helpful with our questions. Sadly there were no oysters today so we opted out of the seafood platter which we would have loved (& taken the option of crayfish with it), instead we shared 3 entrees with our Pinot gris. We will definitely return. A must-go for any visitors to our fine city.
The waiter did refill our wine glasses and the bucket with the white wine was out of reach.
Booked lunch to celebrate a friends birthday, location is superb, excellent parking and access (so a great place to bring the elderly!) and a fab menu with many options for all. They were busy today, but our waiter worked hard to make us feel special. Really enjoyed my spinach cannelloni, and will definitely be back - thanks.
Staff were amazing, helpful and friendly, went out of thier way. We really enjoyed the live music, your musician had a fantastic collection of nicely remixed versions just perfect for a sunny Sunday afternoon. Part of the reason we choose that day. One of the few places that would take a booking. Really appreciated it and thank you for a brilliant occasion. We will be back again.
Roasted cauliflower is exceptional!!!
