Our team enjoyed the food and drinks. Great view from restaurant while enjoying our meal.
Steak sandwich with salad and fries was cooked perfectly! View amazing and staff attentive. Very pleased with first visit to castaways.
That's a great taste. Price it's fine, good to stay there to celebrate the 4th anniversary.
Unpretentious dining with superb views. Food was good and courses were well spaced which suited us well for our long lunch. Not much information was offered about the food nor the stone dining experience but the service was pleasant enough. Would happily dine here again.

I chose Castaways, our local resort to propose to my girlfriend as we walked the beach. We had the most amazing weekend at the resort. A beautiful, friendly environment from the spa / massage to the restaurant staff and decadent menu. Thanks for being a part of our history.

I've always loved Karioitahi, and it was really interesting and lovely to see what Castaways has to add to the experience. Brilliant atmosphere and staff. Delicious food. Absolutely loved it! Thank you.

Food and service was great. Only problem was the noise from other diners. We left early because of this.

We had a really lovely meal with you and the food was yum. I wouldn’t usually let you know about something like this but I was quite shocked with what happened I thought I would let management know so more training can be put in place. The girl who served our table was great and really helpful. I had a spa & lunch voucher so my lunch was covered and we were going to pay for my boyfriends lunch with a voucher I had for castaways and the remainder with eftpos. We went up to pay and wanted to use the voucher. The 4th staff member that was approached asking if they knew how to use the castaways voucher attempted to put it through the till. I was told that’s just $19 so I went to payWave my credit card- the lady realised she had made a mistake and said I was not meant to pay this amount, it should have come off my gift card voucher. In my head I had added up a burger (free with spa deal) + Lamb kebab + two ginger beers + edamame beans could well be $19 cash plus my $46 remaining on my gift card. They then realised they could not refund my credit card but would pay the $19 to my bank account later in the week. This was after getting another manager to help deal with it. All this was fine and I completely understand people are learning. We then settled it and everyone was happy that the voucher would cover the remainder of the bill and we left. They told me I would receive $19 refund during the week. 5 minutes down the road I receive a call from your supervisor saying that they had made another mistake and that there was actually $8 left on the bill which would be deducted from my $19 refund. I was appalled with this. I can not believe a supervisor would call a customer letting them Know they still owed $8 on a bill (such a minor amount) after the drama we had had paying and standing at the till for 20 minutes waiting for staff member after staff member to try and sort out the transaction. I don’t care about $8 and would be happy to pay but in the future I don’t think it’s appropriate for staff members to call customers after they have left the restaurant chasing $8 after a mistake a staff member made. It would be great if you cleared this up with staff members as it has left us a with an average impression and memory of the restaurant even after a lovely lunch. Thank you

Having arrived a little late for a massage appt in January which was part of an overnight stay + dinner with a friend who was celebrating a birthday, we unfortunately missed out on the massage and a rebook would have been at full cost. Another appt was subsequently made for a couple of weeks later (massage + lunch) and the staff were very accommodating and could not have been friendlier. Tina D

Food was delicious and amazing service. Restaurant area is quite small but what an amazing view watching the sun set. The staff were extremely accommodating.
