About Adelina Yard
Adelina Yard opened it’s doors in Bristol in December 2015, serving modern European food in a relaxed, family atmosphere.
Chefs Jamie Randall and Olivia Barry head up our creative and enthusiastic team of chef’s, serving exciting flavour combinations from carefully sourced local ingredients. Our food has it’s foundations in the classics that all of our chefs have trained in, but with a forward thinking twist and always delivered with a smile and without pomp. We take care in creating almost everything that reaches your plate under the Adelina Yard roof; including baking our own bread, churning our own butter and curing our own meats. Everything that you eat has been planned and prepared by us. Whether your thing is wearing trainers or rocking a three piece suit; our aim is to give you a culinary experience that is second to none and a damn good time!
Everything was absoultely amazing! It was my fiance's birthday and I hadnt told the staff, they overheard me saying happy birthday and arranged a chocolate plate for him at the end of our food. Thank you so much, will be coming back again :)
The lunchtime menu is an absolute joy, great food at a great price with great service. A lovely setting, small yet intimate.
Delicious food, and a nice touch with the chef bringing you out the dishes.
Both tasting menu and wine flight were excellent. A touch noisy as it was quite busy.
Superb meal, great cooking, delicious flavours, cracking wines and friendly service. A lovely way to spend my birthday lunch - thanks!
Although, fairly basic surroundings, we could not fault good or service
Original flavours beautifully cooked. Superb service. All in all, a perfect restaurant for lunch.
Amazing meal and experience
Absolutely fantastic tasting menu! The three of us thoroughly enjoyed our evening. The food was some of the best we've ever eaten and we've dined at Michelin star restaurants! Simply superb, thank you!
Excellent quality food
What a wonderful evening. Thank you so much for fantastic service and food. What a restaurant
fabulous food: if you're not in a rush, ignore the lunch menu, take your time and really enjoy the a la carte menu: Its all lovely, all focussed on the main ingredient with nothing superfluous. Its clear that the main focus of Adelina Yard is on the kitchen and the food and worth a repeat visit.
Fantastic Chef Tasting meal. Wine flight complimented the food perfectly and the Service was fantastic. Would Highly recommend.
Lovely food and wine!
Fantastic evening and an incredible menu (we had the Tasting Menu).
WE enjoyed a fabulous meal however it was eye wateringly expensive
For the expense of the meal no customer should be seated just outside the toilet. We were the first to arrive and other tables were available. We should have been given the choice. By the time we realised it felt too late to move. Also music not my taste.
Absolutely fantastic meal, simply some of the best food I've ever eaten! We'll be back soon!
We celebrated a 50th birthday with the £45 tasting menu, which was delicious. Everything was good, we cannot fault the service, wines, atmosphere. The restaurant is slightly off the beaten track, literally moments away from Queen Square and the pubs of King Street.
Always fresh ideas and interesting applications of technique. Never a disappointing moment. The crew is brilliant
Lovely meal with the accompanying wine flight. Food was excellent though there were a couple of longish waits between some of the courses, however it was a busy night so can be expected. Although the wines were very good we could certainly have done with a larger glass of each! Would definitely recommend to others.
Very good food and friendly service.
It was not too busy the night we arrived for our meal the main waiter who greeted us at the door seemed rather subdued for someone representing front of house, struggling to smile throughout the whole evening with minimal conversation. One or two of the other waiters/chefs who came up to us to explain the food could have done a better job on that particular night. Maybe he had just had a bad day.... The atmosphere was impacted by our not so enthusiastic, grumpy waiter and a couple who were playing on their telephones, showing each other noisy videos on their phones, one of whom was swinging on his chair whilst he ate this was an unfortunate distraction throughout our meal. I am not sure how much the restaurant could have done in this situation but I suppose they do promote themselves as a restaurant without the pomp! The food was very well presented I had the raw beef, buratta, my husband the Seared cod cheek then for main course my husband had the duck , it was beautifully cooked, my pork was a little dry and could have done with more of a gravy or sauce. We shared the desert a Chamomille, honey, chocolate, toasted milk ice cream which was a highlight. We had heard and read good things about Adelina's Yard and did have high expectations, unfortunately it disappointed. There are other restaurants which offer a similar style of food in Bristol with a better experience and are better value for money. We would not have minded the price if the overall experience had been outstanding (which it should have been)! I would be reluctant to give it a second chance. I think they may struggle with the juxtaposition of styles between target audience, decor, food and service. The restaurant did not appear at ease with itself and despite appearing in the Sunday Times top 100 restaurant list they may do well to take some lessons from the other Bristol restaurants featured in the same list so they may continue to appear in the list for years to come.
