Acacia Buffet Nights
In addition to the Winter Menu, Acacia also showcases a Kiwi inspired buffet centered around seafood and a traditional BBQ every Thursday and Saturday night. Whether you fancy sushi, sashimi and oysters or freshly grilled steak cooked to perfection right in front of your eyes we have something here for everyone. Prices start from $59.00 per person which includes unlimited dining from a full array of dishes and condiments including indulgent desserts for 1.5hours. Better than my expectations
More food variety would be better
There were oysters and sashimi etc, plenty, salmon was roasted just right, much better than last time, but the tender salmon finished quickly and the 2nd one was bit overdone. In general was good.
This was our 3rd time there,but this time it was with the in laws,the service & atmosphere was great but the food this time round wasn't as great as the other 2 times,the steaks were too thinly sliced, heard people on the next table say the same thing,hardly any prawns & the butter chicken was like a soup & it didn't taste like butter chicken at all.Quite disappointed this time round.
Waiters were a little slow to top up food when low. Could have had more sauce's for the dumplings. Otherwise everything was good. Parking is a little difficult to get on a busy night.
Not great experience, arrived 5.15 with 2 young kids,& told as we didn't have a booking we couldn't have a table til 8pm, even though the majority of the tables were empty but we could eat in bar - no help given setting us up with a table & had to go back & forth finding someone to take our order, then kids meals had to be sent back as not cooked properly, offered free deserts but all in all dissapointing service
I found the food to be bland...I was looking for gravys to go with the meat of which there was only cranberry sauce that wasn't very nice. But otherwise it was ok.
A bit disappoint for the food. Less choice. But service was good.
When it's a buffet. You should replenish the food as and when it finishes
First time diners, buffet was always topped up, waitresses on the floor were attentive making the overall night FANTASTIC!!
It was our first time we did enjoyed very much as we were celebrating our 10th years anniversary thank you for wishes card we love it and kept it as a good memory 👍🥂will definetly coming back Cheers to more years of success 😁

The reason the atmosphere scored lower than the other categories is that it is often quite chilly, the air con is quite fresh which is good for staff but not so good for people sitting down, we have been to this restaurant many times and we know to dress appropriately even in summer
We had high hopes to celebrate our 100 days here; I had dined here previously about 10 years ago and left me with a very good impression. Disappointing to say, this place was a let down. The waitress forgot what we ordered and had to come back to confirm...and then forgot about one of our mains and so we had to wait another 15 minutes for it. We had to ask twice for her to bring us sharing plates; can’t people here use their initiative and observation skills? Lack of professionalism. We ordered from Entrees: Canadian Scallops and braised pork belly; and half dozen oysters. Mains: 500g Savannah’s T-Bone; De-Boned Rangiteiki Chicken, and the one she forgot about which is the Duck chef’s special. We got from Sides the seasonal winter vegetables. Desserts: Fried Crisp Banana and White Chocolate Cheesecake. Everything was very average and some unusual flavours that tasted slightly off...the oysters didn’t look particularly fresh albeit they were pretty big. All the meats and poultry were too tough and hard to cut, bite and chew. Lack of seasoning and flavours. The chicken and duck dish was pretty much the same thing. I have to say, the best dish was probably the Seasonal winter vegetables. They do buffet here too which might offer a better dining experience but for its price of $208 for this disappointing meal and to be of lower quality than elsewhere is ridiculous. Food: 4/10 Price:1/10 Service: 2/10 Ambience: 6/10
We really enjoyed our meal that we have booked to stay at the Hotel for a Saturday night get away.
Food order came out staggered so one of us had to watch the other eat. The cashier graciously removed the late dish from the menu (without us complaining), so kudos for great customer service at the end of our meal.
Food needed to be hotter.aiting staff and reception were very good.
Absolutely amazing food
We celebrated my Grandmother's 88th birthday here and staff was awesome. They ensured we were looked after and made the night even more special by bringing out the cake and letting us hang her birthday banner. Thank you to your staff for excellent service. God Bless you All. Food was awesome and catered so well for the 9 kids that were there.

A spacious restaurant with tasty dishes.
Having to leave your table and ordering your meals and drinks from the bar was not good for a hotel. I could of gone to a cafe and done that. I expected more from a Hotel
