Was disappointed in the state of the woman toilets when we arrived, however once it was made known it was quickly rectified. The service was outstanding! from the Waiting Staff to the Bar Tender and the meals came out all together - well done. The the market fish and fennel risotto and chicken meal - both were outstanding and I would recommend them both. Steak meal however, was not at all nice - was the least favorite of the party, grisly and way too much black garlic sauce. I was dishearten in the cake you supplied; when i made the booking for 25 people, i asked if they knew anywhere i could get a cake from (im not from Paihai) and they said - no do not worry we supply a cake free of charge, it is a chocolate cake, and i thought wonderful! awesome... however it was a mint slice and certainly not a CAKE , let alone not big enough to share with 25 people, (and birthday girl not like mint) so who ever took our booking - please in future i would suggest you describe in more detail what you are offering - as had i of known i would of found a place and brought in a cake of our own for my daughters 30th.
A very pleasant experience with beautiful views from our table.
Lovely meal, atmosphere, and staff. Will definitely be back
Our entrees' were great though our mains (steak meals) were served with no steak knives! which took some of the enjoyment out of our meals and my brulee & poached pear turned out to be a brulee and a few pieces of pear(1 piece was very hard) otherwise we had an enjoyable night,
Friendly staff. Good communication. Staff went out their way to ensure we had the drinks we asked for. Fish was good and fresh. Portions was good. Rest of the food was average and the steak was cooked exactly as requested. The restaurant was very empty for 7.30 on a Friday night so the atmosphere was not that great. I would pop in for lunch, perhaps for dinner uin the summer, but not for dinner in winter. Thanks.
Wait staff are attentitive and the food is exactly as described. Dessert was delicious
Good food and service. Quiet relaxing atmosphere. We (family of 4) were there at 6.30pm before the rush dinner hour starts. The waiting staffs were friendly and deliver prompt service. Food is good. Value for money. We will return again in the future.
Lovely, attentive staff without being intrusive. Knowledgeable about the wines we asked about. Only complaint was that I would have loved more of the delectable liquid that constituted the bouillabaise - delicious. Really warm and cosy inside while it was truly stormy outside. Many thanks for a memorable evening.
Lovely spot, nice out look over the water. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the friendly service we received. Would definitely return if in the area.
Food and atmosphere were really lovely. Spaghetti Bol for the kids was fantastic.
Entree was nice however, the main meal of steak was not good. Steak was not cooked well and only on a bed of what appeared to be potato wedges. For $34-00, i would at least have expected some vegetables, it was poor. Service was good but we also overheard them telling other patrons that they had run out of quite a few things on the menu. Shame for such a nice location.
We both had the steak, the flavours were lovely but the quality of the meat was very poor. Not tender at all.
Fabulous setting, tasty meals and attentive staff.
We enjoyed our meal ,& will return
My wife and I enjoyed a great evening. Couldn't fault anything.
Food was amazing once again!! Our favorite resident to visit when in Paihia!
Fantastic friendly service. Although we had a grab one voucher we still felt like a valued customer. The food was delicious and service very professional.
awesome service from all staff very friendly, food was absolutly beautiful along with the view from our table will definatly return again soon
The setting is lovely but this day very busy so noisy, we decided that we would eat outdoors. We were told by our waiter there would be a small wait and we were ok with that in no rush. We ordered the fish and chips and sirloin steak with green beans and mushrooms. The steak was bearly warm, the beans stone cold and the mushrooms were hot.. all on a cold plate sadly. The 2 x fish were small given the price although very tasty, the chips were also far from hot and far less than expected for this meal. Overall, underwhelming. Our fabulous waiter did his best to smooth things over and we appreciated his difficulties not being responsible for this issue.
Food didn't taste nice, slow service. but stunning views
We enjoyed our dinner here. We were greeted and seated promptly which is always a great way to start off. There were some wait times due to short staff but the staff were informative and apologetic and the scenery is so beautiful we didn't mind the wait. All our meals were very tasty. Steak was cooked to our liking (Medium) and the fish of the day was also very good (snapper). We would visit here again.
A great meal in a good location
It was very difficult to find a park
