We love coming to this restaurant. The food is always good, a much better standard than many other Novotel restaurants.
I had booked 2 tables - a table of 4 for a friend and a table of 7 for our family. The table of 4 had no problems with their meal and service - ours however was a totally different story. I will talk about our service in another review
Although we enjoyed our meal I felt the restaurant was not up to its usual standard. There were two large groups in so that may have contributed, however the main restaurant was fairly quiet.
The venue itself is not very private but the food was exceptional and good value
We went for a 50th birthday lunch. Nice food with great value for money. The birthday “surprise” from the chef at the end of the meal was a lovely way to end the meal
The room was very noisy, but given its position near the bar, this is probably unavoidable. Given it was a pre-theatre menu, service was slow and we were rushing at the end. The waitresses did their best, though they were rather quick to whisk empty plates away while some of us were still eating. Our side dish of potatoes did not arrive until we reminded staff about it and had almost finished our main course. Free parking was a welcome bonus.
We were hotel guests and made the restaurant booking prior to our stay, only the front part of the restaurant was set and the waitress tried to seat us right behind the hostess desk, given we had pre booked and were clearly on a romantic night out we asked for another table, the first one I asked for was declined as it was not set, we found this odd given it was only cutlery, napkins and glasses to be moved. We were seated and ordered a bottle of wine, entree and main - this is where it went down hill, the entrees were served and our bottle of wine had not arrived, when I enquired they said sorry we thought you had it which we clearly did not. Half way through our entree the mains arrived, when i said we were still eating the entree the waitress looked confused and I then said we are not ready so she took them back to the kitchen. When the entree was cleared the waitress asked if we were ready for the main we said no and were in no hurry. The mains then arrived and were clearly the same mains as served when we were still eating the entree. The lamb was ordered med/ rare and arrived well done, my husbands steak was cold and his pepper sauce had a skin on it. No waitstaff were to be found do I picked up the meals and found the waitress busy setting up the breakfast buffet. We watched a table of four be seated and walk out due to the lack of service, diners kept needing to get up to find wait staff and there was no dining experience at all. The food on the positive was nice the 2nd time round but the price did not reflect the experience
Took so long to get food. Quality of the food was average. Not sure will be back.
Great food and service for pre-theatre meal. Added bonus of free parking if you eat at the restaurant.
Worst Accor buffet breakfast ever. Everything under cooked no mushrooms potatoe gems instead of hash brown. Looks like everything bought at coles. I have had Novotel buffet breakfast often. I was upset that parramatta would deliver so poorly as it’s my home suburb.
It was great, but the table's edge was too sharp, a table cloth might have looked more impressive:)
I had a wonderful dining experience at Novotel Parramatta.
Excellent fish of the say dish and the chicken wasn't too bad too. The sauce recommended by the maitre d was excellent.
Food was nice, but service was slow. The venue was very noisy with a very large group of young women waiting in an open area for 2 hours for access to a private function room. Wait staff were more than likely busy looking after the function rather than worrying about the 8 people in the restaurant area.
Nice staff very friendly
Service and food were excellent. The gentleman who waited on us was friendly and efficient.
Chicken entree was far too salty. Ravioli main was drowning in cheese. I felt sick in the stomach during the Riverside Show. Later in the evening I had bad diarrhea from the meal. So we will never be back!
We were ignored at the front counter, the waiter spilt water on our table and didn’t clean it up, took half an hour for our food to come out and when it did the steaks were way over cooked and dry as the Sahara. The potatoes that came with the steaks were undercooked and bland, and the mushroom sauce was bland. Never coming back and wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy.
Order was a bit slow coming out.
Second time coming here bc I was so impressed the first time. Didn’t disappoint the second time, good was amazing, service was great and value for money. Definitely recommend a try
Very disappointing !!!!!!! Terrible food , slow service . Under the stairs - no outlook !! Not Accor standard we expected !!!!!! Disappointed Father’s Day breakfast !
Very pleasant father day lunch, very accomadating with 4 boisterous kids under 6yrs and total of 16 people. Food was plentiful and value for money
I dined with friends a couple of months ago, food was good but service was terrible. What a turn around last night. Food was very good, and the service very good. The young lady who waited on our table was great. Friendly, professional. Excellent service. Wish I'd got her name.
All our meals were delicious and service was good. Great place for dinner before attending riverside theatre.
