About Eighteen The Cross
Eighteen The Cross is an independent, family run restaurant located in the heart of the picturesque village of Lymm.
At Eighteen The Cross, we are passionate about serving quality food using only quality ingredients.
Whether you choose our Pan Fried Scallops or our Homemade Fish and Triple Cooked Chips, we use quality ingredients for every dish.
Our sourdough pizza’s are made from scratch on site, the sourdough is proved for 48hrs and then cooked in our stone floor, open fired pizza oven.
For all of our Kids meals, we use the same quality ingredients.
Every Friday, Saturday & Sunday we serve our Brunch Menu from 9am.

I booked to celebrate my husband's birthday and did mention when booking online that a table with a more 'romantic' feel would be welcomed. When we arrived at 7.30pm we were pointed towards a small table next to the kitchen and the 'pass' which was busy, noisy, very brightly lit and hot. Whilst I understand not all requests can be accommodated I didn't feel ours had been seen at all! We were given the choice of a larger table by the door or a small table in the middle of the room. The small table we chose was, it turned out, too small to fit our plates and glasses, we had to ask for the olives we ordered as they had been forgotten and the pizzas were soggy in the middle and burnt on the edges. Service was slow or none existent and we had to constantly ask one of the ladies that seemed to be cleaning to get someone to serve us. It did have more of a diner feel than restaurant. I feel that the small tables in the middle are really too small and cramped. I imagine the place would not be bad for family afternoon/early evening dining (if you don't mind soggy pizza!) but not for a night out. We shan't be returning and wouldn't recommend it for a special occasion.
Another great night food atmosphere first class!!
A great evening. Lovely food.. some familiar dishes and others with a unique twist. Lovely to have something different to choose from. A relaxed atmosphere. Great cocktails too!
Great personal service from the team and of course great pizzas!!
Good value and great service. Picked the less obvious dishes including the Scallop Speical which was delicious.
Great Service & Food. Best In Lymm, by far!
Went for brunch. wide choice to suit all tastes and great atmosphere.
This was our first visit to 18 the cross, brunch was great, food was really tasty and well presented. Would happily recommend and return.
The venue itself is lovely but brunch was just ok. The coffee was very weak; we ordered latte's and they were just milky weak tasting coffee. The food was average, presentation great but Spanish breakfast the chorizo was chewy. Salmon & eggs salmon not fresh smoked salmon it was dry and looked tinned and eggs sloppy. Service was good with a few errors; we had the salmon and eggs arrive without the salmon and then received the wrong bill.
This was our 2nd visit having had such a lovely time on our first visit we decided to return for our wedding anniversary meal. On arrival we were warmly greeted and seated we were a bit uncomfortable at the table and it was no problem when we asked to be moved. The food was excellent and we have already recommended 18 to several friends but was let down at the end by the poor service the staff seemed more interested in cleaning up than the diners who were still in the restaurant. We would have liked coffee to finish but sat for a least 15 mins in the end we asked for the bill and left. Although we would return I think a little more attention to the guests service is needed to complete the experience.
Four of us ate together for an early evening mid-week meal. The initial welcome was lovely and the environment was good. Our host clearly knew his wine - which was absolutely excellent. This is where experiences started to differ ..... Two diners had lovely meals - the salmon and the minute steak were cooked well and presented and were thoroughly enjoyed. Two of us ordered the seafood linguine and were disappointed in the dish. The food contained ingredients that weren’t advertised (Linguistines) and which would have meant that one party would not have ordered the dish. Both dishes were full of broken shell which made the dish very hard to eat and really ruined the meal. When we spoke to the owner about this, the only response given was that other people had also given the same feedback and that they needed to “change the menu a bit”. Overall, a disappointing experience from a restaurant that probably has a lot more to offer. It’s a shame that we won’t be back in the area to test that out !
excellent food and service
Would really recommend had a brilliant night,
Great family meal, we booked at 3pm so not many other diners in but started to get busy as we left. Food/Service was fantastic....only bottled beers. Will definitely be going back :-)
A* service in all aspects! Food always delicious
