About 11 Cadogan Gardens
Gather friends and family and indulge in the fine tradition of afternoon tea.
Not only can you enjoy this quintessentially British pastime in the comfort of our Drawing Room at 11 Cadogan Gardens but it is also available in the relaxed setting of Hans’ Bar & Grill.
Our Afternoon Tea is served between 2.30pm and 5.30pm daily and is priced at £29.00 per person for Classic Afternoon Tea and £39.00 per person for Champagne Afternoon Tea.
Hosted a party of 18 in the private lounge Great food and service We will be returning next year
Great service and very accommodating alternative to our son who has certain food allergies. Thanks!
Service was great! Loved our server! He went above what was asked of him. Also I’m gluten free and vegetarian and really didn’t like the items made for me. Very hard biscuits and gf sandwiches not tasty . But my husband said his normal ones were ok.
Excellent afternoon tea, very good value for money, struggled to eat everything but loved it all. Will definitely be returning
I found your Tea selection a little disappointing for instance there was no Ceylon.
In London for the first time, we had a very nice afternoon tea at 11 Cadogan Gardens.
Very tasty tea - sandwich and cake selection was more exciting than the classic afternoon tea spread. Decent tea selection and great champagne. The setting is a very comfortable 'drawing room' style, only recommendation would be to up the light level as it was pretty dark on a rainy afternoon.
Very nice place, we enjoy the experience. Amazing service, and good food. We didn’t really like the sweets but it was everything good.
There were people working in one corner of the room which spoiled the atmosphere a little bit - I didn't expect to walk in to see someone with a laptop on their mobile phone camped out with various people coming and going from their table during the time we were there. Also the room felt a bit sparse - with the exception of the wall of paintings it didn't feel as warm and homely as the rest of the hotel seemed to. But the staff were excellent and the food very nice.
A lovely afternoon tea the gluten free scones were delightful
We ve come for the 4th time. It’s always a great experience. Food is amazing and the team is incredibly nice and Friendly. The only annoying thing is the lack of presence of waiters in the drawing room. We’ve waited 20 min to be able to ask the bill and I had to ask the reception of the hotel. Then another 20 min to get our coats back and we had to ask the reception again. Other than that everything is perfect and we are coming back.
This was an extraordinary afternoon tea in an unique ambiance with really friendly staff. Maybe you could offer loose teas or a wider variety of teas to enhance the experience for tea enthusiasts. Thank you for a special afternoon.
The sandwiches and cakes were excellent. The pear tart was a bit too sweet. Very relaxed atmosphere. Felt like you moved back a hundred years.
It was perfect. Also many thanks to the waiter who was so kind to show us the rest of this incredible hotel after our tea.
I decided to book afternoon tea at 11 Cadogan for my girlfriend's birthday. On arrival there was no one there to greet us and when we eventually latched on to someone we were scurried into the room at the rear where the afternoon tea is to take place. there were two tables of two and 1 waitress, so not exactly busy. But it did take a while to be acknowledged and seated. We chose a seat and were left for a while before the waitress found us and explained the menu. Before she disappeared once more I let her know it was the other half's birthday, though I had put this on the booking form so they would be aware, but this didn't seem to have filtered down. We were ready to order but there was no one to be seen. Now in fairness she did eventually turn up with a plate with 'Happy Birthday' written in chocolate garnished with a few berries and a candle (nice touch, though perhaps a little on the mean side, you could do better there 11 Cadogan). We asked for the champagne and waited for that to arrive before asking for the rest of the tea. Bit of a mistake as it turns out because it was a good 15 minutes before she resurfaced with the champagne! Very hungry by this point but we still had to order. A different waitress at this point but and the food did arrive without too much of a wait, and when it did it looked fantastic and were very happy with it, though we didn't make it to the dessert plate, more on that later... We tried to find someone for the bill but that also turned out to be as difficult as making your way out of an escape room. I went to find someone for the bill, where they also had the cheek to add in the service charge! Whilst there I asked if they could provide a box to take away the desserts and they obliged and then absented myself. When I came back my girlfriend let me in on a secret... When the chap who gave me the bill brought the take away boxes, she asked for a utensil with which to transfer the desserts into said boxes. At which point he said there weren't any and she could use her fingers! Now what does one say to that?? Other than laugh of course! At this point it felt appropriate to ask the other diners whether they also had a similar experience. Needless to say they agreed. As we left we couldn't help feeling that the whole experience had been quite bizarre. It was like being in an episode of Faulty Towers only in a nicer hotel, which in a way makes it more inexcusable to have such service. Perhaps a rethink of how the afternoon tea is administered and some training for the staff would be apt.
The food was really good. The biggest let down was the tea. Who serves afternoon tea with teas in bags?! It’s meant to be leaves and brewed properly. Also, the service was quite poor. Had to go back to reception to remind them that I have arrived after sitting for 10 minutes without being approached despite staff coming in and out. Had it not been for those 2 things, it would have been excellent.
Delicious afternoon tea. Food was very tasty, with generous portions. The room had a peaceful atmosphere with great service. Price was very reasonable for the service, especially compared to the average for afternoon tea in London.
Lovely quintessential English cosy atmosphere in library and tea room. Great for tete a tete afternoon meeting / discussion. The staff were friendly, helpful and discreet.
it was a great afternoon by the fire highly recomend it.
We had an amazing afternoon tea at 11 Cadogan Gardens. It was the most cozy, intimate, elegant setting - a perfect escape from a cold January day. The food, tea, service, and atmosphere were all amazing!
The afternoon tea was excellent. I would like to see lapsang souchong tea back on the menu and smoked salmon sandwiches. All was wonderful. The atmosphere was calm and serene. Beautiful pictures in the tea room. The waiter was helpful and engaging. All together a super afternoon. Thank you
The service and food was absolutely fantastic, I couldn’t fault anything about the afternoon tea. I would definitely recommend for others to attend.
I booked a table through afternoontea.co.uk. I received confirmation message but the booking was not completed and we knew about that when we arrived the cafe. Fortunately the staff were very friendly and they served afternoontea to me and my friend which was so nice. We enjoyed it very much though I couldn’t get the January offer because of the booking system. Anyway I want to recommend this place to my friends, thanks!
The most delightful experience. The receptionist that welcomed us went out of his way to present the establishment. I intend to come back.
Food was lovely but service was lacking. Staff were not very attentive, leaving long periods of time between coming into the room. One gentleman ignored us twice on saying 'excuse me' - very embarrassing and then ignored my partner when she asked for a new tea cup as the tea already in it was long cold. Also found it a bit uncomfortable having other staff walk past carrying pillows and mops. Would not go back and most certainly not recommend. If this had not been a celebratory afternoon, I would not have paid service charge.
