Had a superb entertaining Sunday lunch. Lovely ambiance, excellent food and Band of Hope were great entertainment too. Excellent value for money with cocktails and drinks a good price. Will be going back again soon.
Overall fabulous. The lack of a wine list was unprofessional. The staff only knew the grape varieties, not country or any info. Just type one! Overall service v good, but took too long to get two cocktails and two glasses of wine.
We think hat it is a great place and very much hope that it is successful
I think in time this place could be great but at present I wouldn't recommend.. the cocktails were just sweet and full of sugar! all tasted the same. The starters were nice but portions were tiny and the mains although big portions, not great quality. Had to wait 15 minutes for a glass of wine and pint of beer. started clearing and moving all tables around us for the evenings reservations so we were just sitting on our own for the most part so lacked atmosphere. people were being turned away to have a drink as they were fully booked for the evening (it was 3pm at this point). staff need more training but once all settled I think it could be a great place!
The food was really good. Service was excellent. The restaurant is lovely and comfortable with a good atmosphere. Our only criticism would be £11 for a Gin & Tonic is London prices!!! Our table of 4 had 3 each which totalled £132 this was nearly half the bill. This would not prevent us from coming again in fact this was our third visit but I think next time we will have a drink across the road before and after.
Lovely afternoon tea
Took a break from shopping to enjoy your afternoon tea. It was awesome! Everything was lovely, fresh and tasty. The staff were wonderful, quick to serve us and very friendly - will definitely return and will recommend to all who visit Ely.
Loving the new Blue Bar, good food and great atmosphere!
whilst the food overall was good, there were major issues with the gluten free options, as one of our party ordered a GF starter of mussels when the dish arrived it had bread on it, this was then removed and told that there was no gluten free bread. The starter should never have been served with normal bread and if there was no gluten free bread this should have been made clear before ordering. There was then another issue with the Gluten free dessert, as the only option came with shortbread but there was no gluten free shortbread.so overall one of our party had a very poor dining experiance
Wonderful atmosphere, fab food and good service!
Staff lovely and very good quality food for a reasonable price
This is the second time I have visited 11a and the experience has changed alot since my first visit. There was a large party in this time with children that were running around in and out of other people's tables, staff did not make the parents aware but asked if we wanted to move tables. There was music playing but it was just a little too loud for background music. My first visit felt much more of a sophisticated experience, this time I could have gone to a pub or chain restaurant for a similar experience. The food was nice but slightly expensive, in addition there was a few items that were not on that evening. Also they didn't have all the wine on the wine list in stock. Overall it was an expensive but average experience and I would be unlikely to return.
Had a really good evening at 11A. The service was a little bit slow to start wiith but the food was worth the wait and it’s a lovely setting to sit in.
Had a fabulous time, all three of us loved our meals, and the cocktails were as delicious as the food!
Food was amazing! Would have given service 5 stars but it was quite slow, we had to wait quite s bit of time between courses. Other than that - fantastic!
Went on a Friday night for cocktails with a friend and then on the Sunday for brunch. It was busy on the Friday evening but the service was still quick and they were happy to make us their version of a cocktail which was not on the menu. Really good atmosphere as well. Sunday morning the service was excellent and the food and drinks were fantastic. We will definitely be going back! It deserves to be busier than it was. They made a small mistake with one of the meals but rectified it quickly. Overall my experience there has been great!
A very pleasant lunch indeed. Best in Ely
A really good dining experience!
Food, atmosphere and service was excellent. Menu has unusual twists which make it interesting.
Chilled atmosphere and beautiful food!
We visited for first time and the atmosphere was great. Lovely music, nice smart and elegant looking restaurant/bar. The service was pretty food, but there wasn’t many of us and the food took a long time to come. It was a girlie children night off so we wanted to enjoy cocktails. They were amazing but most of the time we had to get the waitress’ attention to order another drink. We also went for a steak and unfortunately our steak was off. That got rectified by offering us a different style of steak. We really liked it there but some attention to detail could be improved. Ie it was cocktail hour and we got charged the full amount, steak was off and took a long time to come. But we would come back
Wonderful food as always . Eaten with you over 8 times now and the food has always been amazing . I normally have goats cheese as it’s delicious but had coronation chicken sandwich and wow loved it . My family all enjoyed their meal too including the teens . Sunday roast next on our list . Favourite place to dine in ely . Thank you
I feel maybe the website is a bit misleading. It is somewhere to come for drinks, dinner or both and offers good cocktails, lovely food and later when the main courses are eaten they turn the music up a bit creating a good atmosphere. Not somewhere where you would then dance the night away....maybe that will come when other floors are open but not yet and not quite what I was hoping for.
Just a suggestion, we had traditiOnal afternoon tea and we all said it would be nice to have less cake and maybe another savoury option Didn’t stop us enjoying it, delicious and staff were superb, very professional and friendly
Food was good as always. Service always friendly. Just a slight thing - it would be nice to have a different type of liquid handwash in the Ladies loo, rather than basic Carex. Something a little more in keeping with the standard 11A is aiming at!! And there should be liquid hand wash in the Gents - there was none at all.
