Spend a lovely afternoon with friends. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely come back again.
2nd time we have been and again had a lovely evening very relaxing
We enjoyed our evening but felt that some of the food we had was lovely and some of it was bland. We also didn't enjoy having half a loaf of toasted on one side brown bread with our meat and cheese platter, never been served anything like it when having the same at other restaurants. The chorizo tapas dish, the scotch egg and the chicken with garlic were very enjoyable however and compliments to the chef for that. The Mai type cocktail and gin were lovely also. Service of food was fast but drinks was slow and also needed to go find someone at the bar whilst eating to order some more.
Some items were missing from the food menu and cocktail menu, food was a little greasy but overall we enjoyed it.
A pleasant experience in a calm atmosphere
Absolutely lovely lunch with my sister, 1 spanish and 1 traditional afternoon tea it was amazing!
Delicious meal. We enjoyed the starters (1 aubergine and 1 tempura halloumi) and the mains: pork chop and fishcake. Portions were HUGE, though! Short wine list, but some good options on there. Service was very professional and friendly.
Excellent but please don't serve ceviche and salad on hot plates
After a brilliant meal there a few weeks ago I came again yesterday with my family. The service was so slow, taking over an hour and half to get the starters, the drinks were slow too. The mains were very disappointing. We had vegan parcels, last time they were great, yesterday they were undercooked, half the size with no sauce or garnish. I did point this out to the waitress for which she apologised and took them off the bill. Chips followed very slowly which were barely warm. My daughters burger was even slower and was very hard and tough. It took nearly 2.5hrs in total to have 2 courses. Massively disappointed as it was a special occasion and won’t recommend at all.
Love the decor, nice job! We had tapas, it was amazing - a few stand outs were the scotch egg, tomato jam on the halloumi, chorizo- but it was all so nice and tasty! It wasn't very busy so atmosphere was lacking but I'm sure when busier in the evening there would be a different vibe. Staff attentive enough for my liking. Would definitely return!
Booking a reservation on line was extremely easy and a confirmation arrived swiftly. The food is amazing and the staff always goes above and beyond to ensure a wonderful experience. The atmosphere is chic but still warm and inviting. This is one of our favorite restaurants and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a restaurant in Ely or surrounding area.
We found the place really good, though a bit disappointed that we weren’t given the vegan menu despite indicating preferences in the booking. The evening menu didn’t have anything vegan on it.
Another excellent New Year, fantastic service and food. We all really enjoyed the evening, the manager was very attentive and the whole atmosphere was great.
We was very uncomfortable because where we were Sitting was cold no heating
Lunch menu quite limited. Service was really slow, waited 40 mins for starter and nearly same for main, considering only two couples having afternoon tea which was already prepped, not good. Very apologetic about oily fish and chips other meals were ok. With company of friends so stayed but had it been my husband and I wed have left. Shame.
Food was nice, service was brilliant the staff were very helpful and friendly. Good value for money for the afternoon tea.
Treated my mum to a lovely festive afternoon tea for her birthday and it was delicious! The atmosphere was peaceful which made the visit very relaxing. The bill came to a lot less than I anticipated considering the quality of everything. We will be back.
I booked the Festive Afternoon Tea as a treat for my 2 carers. We were shown to a table that had food remnants on the floor (seemed like there was a party the night before and hadn't been cleaned). We had to ask for our pre-ordered food 30 minutes after arriving. When it came out it was pathetic. Instead of a slice of carrot cake each, one slice had been pulled apart!! The turkey and Cranberry sandwich tasted awful. We had to keep asking for drinks. Considering I paid out £14 for 2 afternoon teas, I felt as though I should have just ordered from the menu. That way it would've been fresh and plenty for them. Normally Afternoon tea is served on individual tiered trays, but ours was squashed on to one. It wasnt festive at all. The inclusion of a dry mince pie and a candy cane doesn't make it festive. I was honestly looking forward to treating my carers to something special and I felt let down. We could've gone to any tearoom in Ely and got 100 times better for what I paid.
We had a lovely visit to 11A with a warm welcome and great service. The drinks and food were really delicious. The starters arrived so quickly. Unfortunately one of the wrong mains was prepared but the service and explanation was fantastic. I'm not sure if it's just me but on the emails I have received there is black text on a dark background which is incredibly hard to read, it would be probablybetter if it was white! Thanks for a lovely meal
First time at this restaurant, friendly service and great food. Service was prompt even though the place was busy. Thoroughly recommended.
Group of us had a lunch yesterday - we chose from tapas lunch menu (no Christmas menu offered, I guess as only 6 of us?) The sea bass ceviche was absolutely delicious, the soup was good, as were the aubergines. The tempura halloumi was ok. The shrimp ceviche was rather uninteresting with a lot of liquid and chopped cucumber.....and served with a pile of tortilla chips. We felt the tapas in general wasn’t that exciting, the food at 11A used to be very good about a year or so ago, with an interesting menu, but seems to have shifted a bit recently. That said, the cocktails are very good, as is coffee and usually the cake! Sadly, there weren’t many other diners in the restaurant- despite being a run up to Christmas, perhaps it is more popular as an evening venue. We would go again, for an informal get together, but not for a special lunch to celebrate an occasion.
A pleasant lunchtime. Well worth the visit.
Afternoon tea was delicious, service excellent. Only improvement would be the coffee, it would be nice to have a coffee percolator on the table. Will come again. Thank you for making our afternoon so enjoyable 😀
The service was very slow. It took 15 minutes to ask us for a drink and over half an hour to serve us afternoon tea which we'd made the booking for. The tea was cold by the time we got the afternoon tea and the afternoon tea itself was missing elements like cream and jam so had to chase them for this. They apologised saying there were busy but it really didn't look busy! Staff were walking round pushing chairs in etc unnecessarily instead of serving us The food itself was good and a lovely atmosphere though.
