There’s no doubt, Singapore is a foodie’s heaven. With its truly cosmopolitan cuisine, there’s something for every palate and mood. But what about those of us who don’t eat meat? Fortunately, the growing trend towards plant-based cuisine has brought new dishes to the island. So we’ve scouted the best vegetarian restaurants in Singapore for you to have an epic meat-free dinner.

Located in the beautiful Sofitel, Xperience is of one Singapore’s favourite and one of our top choices for a vegetarian restaurant in Singapore. This relaxed gastro-bar serves a combination of modern European tastes with Asian influences in a fresh and funky interior. At Xperience, you’ll get to experience a one-of-a-kind interactive culinary journey of the senses. Design your own customised vegetarian menu based on different culinary experience: crunchy, juicy, smoky, creamy, silky, spicy and zesty, and get ready to be surprised!

If you’re looking for the real Italian experience, (like the real real deal), head to Prego. Located in the Fairmont Hotel, this Italian family style restaurant is truly authentic, from the service style and communal dining to their decor featuring parmesan wheels and wood dining tables. And who cooks better veggie dishes than the Italian? Expect Margherita, 5 formaggi, and funghi misti pizzas as well as pizzoccheri and ravioli ricotta e spinaci pastas. They’ve also come up with a whole vegan menu. By the way, Prego means “you’re welcome”. So… Prego!

Fat Papas

FatPapas is well known in Singapore for its delectable burgers, and like any proper burger house, they’ve come up with vegetarian options. Located in Bali Lane, this spot specialises in all kinds of worldwide burgers and dips, and for all the burger fans out there, they’re honestly a must-try. Wash your burger down with one of their delicious milkshakes (the vanilla Nutella milkshake left us breathless), and you’re in for a fat-bulous dinner.

At Taste, expect to try local and international dishes with modern influences. These guys created a vegetarian menu featuring delicious soups, fresh salads, flavoursome curries and yummy noodles. Located in the Ibis hotel, Taste is all about “simply trying everything”. They also serve a decent international buffet breakfast and a pretty awesome brunch. Hop in at any time of the day and enjoy this little “taste” of paradise.

If we tell you this one’s a grill house and yet it’s one of the best vegetarian restaurant in Singapore, would you believe us? Well you should! Skai is a contemporary fine dining grill-house restaurant located on the 70th floor of the iconic Swissotel The Stamford. They might specialise in meat cuts, but their vegetarian plates have been catching lots of veggies attention. From cauliflower soup and charred baby gem to crispy rye noodles, baby cauliflower with pickled eringi, and more, executive chef Paul Hallet ensured their menu would include something for everyone. Once you’re done with your fabulous dinner, head to their Skai bar, one of the hottest spot in town!
