What else can I do in the city centre?
Gee, what can’t you do in Glasgow City Centre? We’d recommend catching a movie at the GFT if you have time. It’s an indie cinema, with an art-deco look, that shows cool alternative movies, big hitters, and classics. If it’s a nice day, head over to the Necropolis, a huge cemetary at the east end of the centre. We know it sounds morbid, but the crypts for old city merchants, intricately inscribed headstones, and incredible city views make it worthwhile. Oh, and don’t forget to visit the iconic Duke of Wellington statue. Drunks have been putting traffic cones on his head for years and the image of the stately be-horsed man with a big orange cone on top has become an icon of the city.
