If you’re feeling adventurous, there’s also a great sushi menu temaki yourself happy with, the Japanese way.

If your mum needs a holiday: Lunya

A modern-day Liverpool institution, Lunya adds a bit of Catalan flair to this Northern city, serving up a menu of delicious tapas dishes, meats, and cheeses (they have the world’s biggest selection of Spanish and Catalan cheeses, outside of Spain.) If you’re bringing the whole brood, Lunya cook a suckling pig, imported from Segovia, that serves between 6-9 people. Pair it with some of their amazing wines, relax in the continental atmosphere, and pretend you’re hanging out in sunnier climes. What’s more, their Mother’s Day offer includes a free gift for your mum! We can’t think of a better way to tell her she’s your favourite.

For mums who deserves a little something special: Maray

Depending on where you’re based, you might want to check out Maray’s venues on Bold Street or Allerton. Either way, you won’t have too far to travel for this great experience. Both venues serve a delicious Sunday menu with a selection of four (yes FOUR) roasts, that are sure to put a smile on your mum’s face. Start off with a peach lager shandy, a bloody mary, or a classic port cocktail, before diving into ham, beef, chicken, or nut roast choices. The food is brilliant, but they’re also famed for their cocktails which we’re sure your mum will be delighted to get stuck into with her darling kids round her. The great food, lovely drinks, and beautiful atmosphere make Maray a great place to enjoy Mother’s Day in Liverpool.

A trendy mum's paradise: Camp and Furnace

This is no ordinary restaurant; this is an event space, eatery, bar, music venue, indoor festival, photographic studio, and location space, all rolled into one. Situated just up from the Merseyside docks, in a collection of old warehouses, it’s the place where Liverpool’s cool kids, and their mums hang out. Camp and Furnace is famous for sharing Sunday roasts, served on communal tables, so bring the whole family, and order chicken, sirloin, lamb, or pork to carve up and enjoy at your leisure. Their Yorkshire puds are huge, the gravy is rich, and it’s a great way to treat your super-hip mum this Mother’s Day.

When accompanied by three other guests, you won’t pay a thing for mum’s dinner. Choose from a huge selection of sushi, made fresh on the premises, or opt for the thrilling teppanyaki table.
