Family friendly restaurants in London

Gather the gang!

For a city with thousands of restaurants, it can be pretty difficult finding family friendly restaurants in London. Many are teeny tiny spaces where you can’t imagine anything worse than having your delightful brood running around. However, we’ve done a rummage around and found some great spots that the whole gang will love. And there’s no themes, play areas, or terrible cooking to be found. Just great food, great atmospheres, and a great time to be had by all!

Mod Pizza

The perfect spot if you happen to be in the centre of London, Mod Pizza serves up, well pizza. With three sizes of pizza; small, medium, and large, there’s something to suit everyone’s appetite. Their ethos is “your pizza, your way” and they really stick to it. Choose gluten free bases, vegan cheese instead of dairy, and then pick from a variety of toppings. You can even choose to have your pizza toppings on a salad. For the adults in the group there’s beer and wine and you can keep the kids happy with shakes. Winning all round!

Meat Liquor Kings Cross

One that’s bound to keep the meat eaters happy, Meat Liquor quite literally does what it says on the tin. (And if you’re having a day in London with the kids, you’re probably going to need some of that liquor!) Serving up everything from chicken burgers to loaded fries, it’s a great place to refuel. The kids will keep the little ones happy and they can fill up on deep fried macaroni cheese sticks, hot dogs, and fish finger sandwiches for just £7.95. It has a stripped back interior with walls decorated in graffiti, giving a cool city atmosphere to this family friendly London restaurant.

It’s all in the name huh?! If you’re heading to Mommi on a Sunday, you’re really in for a treat. They serve up brunch and lunch every Sunday in collaboration with The Kids Table, offering fun, supervised play for the little ones while you sit back and enjoy a delicious meal. And delicious it is with Nikkei dishes from the shores of Japan and Peru being the order of the day. There’s house ceviche, croquettas and more on the small menu, or you can go for bigger plates like miso glazed salmon or pork belly bites. When it comes to family friendly restaurants in London, it doesn’t get better, or cooler, than this.

Turtle Bay Ealing

Jamaican vibes, funky music, tasty food, and friendly staff, what’s not to like at Turtle Bay? This super cool group of restaurants has venues across the UK so has a proven track record with keeping the whole crew entertained. We all know how annoying it is when you end up waiting ages for the kids’ food, so these guys serve drinks and hummus and dip on arrival. Then the children can pick mains from the Little Turtles menu while you tuck into jerk chicken, curry goat, and other Jamaican treats. Their cocktail menu is extensive, they have a huge rum list, and it’s the perfect place to spend an evening.

Hood Streatham

What’s more family friendly than a neighbourhood restaurant that serves up delicious homemade food? Nothing! That’s why we’re bringing you to Hood in Streatham, a great venue that prides itself on being part of the community. They pride themselves on making locally-sourced, healthy food so you’ll know that everyone is eating well. Tuck into classics like roast Shropshire lamb, or Norfolk chicken and make sure that you have a dessert. They’re made freshly on the premises and feature panna cotta and polenta cake. Yum.
