If you’re anything like the ResDiary team, you absolutely love a bit of a deal. One of our favourites is the early bird, or pre-theatre menu. If you go for your dinner (tea? Supper? The debate rages on) a bit earlier, it’s a lot cheaper, AND you’ve got more time to catch up on the soaps later. So we’ve put together a list of our favourite early bird menus in Manchester. Now all you need to do is choose your favourite.
Between 5pm-7pm every day, this classic Italian favourite serves up two courses for £16.95, or three for just £19.95. Right in the middle of the city, it’s the perfect place to grab an after work meal, that will taste all the better for having no dishes to wash. Choose from Italian staples like homemade lasagne, risotto funghi, or gnocchi al pomodoro, and you’ll never forgive yourself if you don’t check out the tiramisu.
Just because you’re on the hunt for early bird menus in Manchester, doesn’t mean you don’t want to be treating yourself. Which is why we’ve brought you to Sapporo, the home of Teppanyaki in the city. For just £16.50, and including wine or a soft drink, you can have two courses of their delicious Japanese food. Pick from sushi Nigiri, tempura, or chicken, salmon, veg, or steak teppanyaki and take a night off from the cooking.
Yes, this stunning Manchester restaurant does an early bird menu, aren’t we lucky? Despite their upmarket reputation, TNQ offers two courses for just £14.95, while for just an extra £4, you can go all out with three courses. Available between 12-6.30pm Monday – Saturday, it’s a great way to try out this great spot. Enjoy dishes like chicken and mushroom pot pie, or moules frites, while watching the hustle of High Street.
Ok, we do have two teppanyaki restaurants on the list, we admit it. However, if you know anything about the Japanese, you’ll know they’re big fans of the after-work meal, and they know their stuff on tasty tasty food. Between 3-5pm Monday to Friday, their Early Evening menu is just £11.95. For this, you get a starter, main, and a drink or ice cream. Stick in the added bonus of watching the teppanyaki chefs flare, fire, and generally put on a show and it’s a great early bird menu in Manchester option.
