We’ve scoured the city on a serious burger-binge to show you the best that our lovely Scottish city has to offer. Loosen your belts, here are the top five of the best burgers in Aberdeen. Oh, and there’s no need to pick just one. Visit each place, we’re begging you!

210 bistro

If you’re looking for the gourmet type of burger, then 210 bistro is your next destination. This restaurant is the ideal place to enjoy a gastronomic experience, featuring both traditional and contemporary dishes. They’ve got four burgers on their menu, each of them being served with relish, lettuce, tomato, gherkin and red onion, and for only £7 a dish. Yes honey, you read it right. Most of their produce is locally sourced, from the meat of their burger to the fish and vegetables of their main dishes. And for the sweet tooth among you, remember to leave some space for their dessert. Their carrot cake is simply precious, it’s made of walnut crumble, with caramelised chocolate, cream cheese frosting, and lots of love. I don’t know about you but I just booked my spot.

The Pier

If you’re wandering around the beach side, take a little break and recharge your batteries at The Pier. This new eatery serves some pretty amazing dishes and doubtless some of the best burgers in Aberdeen. From their sailor jerry glazed steak burger with Monterey jack cheese to their breaded chicken burger with chilli jam, pulled pork, mozzarella, and more, you’re in for a burgerlicious treat. Oh and they also have an awesome bar featuring lip-smacking cocktails and local draft beer. Just saying.

Ferryhill House Hotel

Might sound a bit fancy to head to a hotel for a burger, but you’ve got to trust us on this one, t-o-t-a-l-l-y worth it. The Ferryhouse hotel restaurant offers three yummy burgers on their all-day menu. Set within their private garden, it’s the perfect setting to enjoy a juicy burger with a relaxing drink. Whether you’re gluten intolerant, vegetarian, or vegan, these guys can cater to all your dietary requirements. And if you had too much to eat and don’t feel like taking the road (we feel the struggle), just treat yourself by booking one of their en-suite bedroom, and you’re in for the whole Ferryhill Hotel experience.

TGI Fridays

You know what they say, nobody does better burgers than the Americans. And they’re not completely wrong. Head to TGI Fridays for the ultimate American experience. These guys serve all sorts of delicious flavours, from yummy appetizers to steaks, sandwiches and … AWESOME burgers. So if you’re not counting your calories (that’s the way), have yourself a double cheeseburger deluxe with hot wings and a chocolate Oreo cookie milkshake, and you’re in for the real deal. They’re located on Aberdeen beach and Union Square, choose your closest venue and enjoy your feast.

The Spiritualist

Independently owned and designed, The Spiritualist should be next on your list when looking for the best burgers in Aberdeen. Their menu is contemporary, fresh, and their food showcases the best of Scottish with local and seasonal food only! Try our very favourite burger, “the stag and bull buttery”. It’s composed of an 8oz Aberdeen angus burger with crispy bacon, relish, baby gem, beef tomato and melting smoked Applewood. Or In other terms, perfection on a plate. Gluten free and vegan buns are available, as well as veggie and vegan burgers. Feeling thirsty? This spot offers a selection of classic and not-so-classic cocktails, and they’re the best way to end your evening right. This little gem is located right in the city centre, they take bookings for lunch, dinner, private dinner and family outings. At The Spiritualist, you can expect elegance with a touch of cool.
