Whoever said that breakfast is the most important meal of the day clearly never ate brunch. It’s the perfect excuse to drink booze before noon, eat way more than you’re supposed to, and stay in bed for a couple of extra hours. At ResDiary, we looove brunch, and that’s why we’ve scoured the whole city to bring you the best brunch in Brighton. Whether it’s poached eggs and avocado toasts you’re after or a traditional English breakfast, our picks here will have you sorted.

Brunch, British, Cafe, Vegetarian, Vegan
Located just opposite St Peter’s Church in the city centre, Moksha is a must-try for the people of Brighton. It’s an independent café, serving a modern British-inspired brunch at very nice prices. From granola bowls, smoked salmon, American style pancakes, and eggs, whatever you choose, it will not only be good for you but also expertly cooked by them. Don’t hesitate to mention your dietary restrictions to their waiter, they’ve got different vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. By the way, Moshka means “release and liberation”, and that’s exactly what they’ll provide you with.

The Set

You say tomato, I say Bloody Mary! The Set is a super chilled-out, cool, and trendy spot serving one of the best brunches in Brighton. Hidden within the Artist Residence Hotel, The Set is a small, independent restaurant with amazing food focused on seasonal flavours and local produce. Their brunch is available every day of the week between 8am and 12pm, and it features yummy dishes you would crave for after a boozy night out, or simply to kick off the day the right way. All dietary requirements are happily catered for by the kitchen. And just because brunch tastes always better with a cocktail, please yourself with their famous Bloody Mary, a real treat!

From the hearty to the super healthy, GB1’s brunch offers something for all. Treat yourself with their English breakfast, eggs benedict, or the not-to-be-missed chorizo hash. Or kick start your day with a nutritious and super healthy, raw vegetable juice. Do us a favour and order the Columbus 1493, one of their signature cocktails, guaranteed to brighten up your day! Their brunch is being served every day from 9AM on the Victoria Lounge Terrace, and is simply one not to be missed.

All day brunch you said? Kooks is one of Brighton’s hottest spots, known for its amazing brunch and lip smacking cocktails. Inspired by the brunch culture of Melbourne, this little gem delivers a relaxed and homely vibe with a fresh “kooky” menu. From all kinds of eggs to falafel, halloumi, crispy bacon sandwich, avocado smash, and more, Kooks surely doesn’t fail to please its customers. They’ve got big and small plates, sweet dishes and sides to make everyone happy. Quick tip: have yourself their espresso martini, it’s a staple of Kooks’ brunch.

West Beach

Located in British Airway i360 on Brighton beach, West Beach offers fun and unique cuisine in a design interior with large-scale pieces by local artists. These guys serve up one of the best brunches in Brighton, available on the weekend between 10AM and 12PM. We recommend The Full Hanover, it includes Quorn sausages, crisp falafels, grilled mushrooms, potato rosti, fried eggs beans and toasted “flour pot” sourdough; a real delight! Don’t miss out on their different coffee liquors, you’ll be left wanting more!
