It’s Boxing Day! You’ve had a lot of turkey, you’ve received your presents. It’s now time to go out of your house and take a breath of fresh winter air. London is home to plenty of parks and nice areas for a walk. Once you’re out in the freezing cold, it’s also nice to take a break and recharge your batteries with good food. So, we’ve scoured the city and found great places to head to after a Boxing Day walk in London.

Salt & Honey: after a walk in Hyde Park

After a nice walk in Hyde Park, head to Salt & Honey for a roast dinner, a yummy brunch, or a fantastic glass of wine. This three-storey restaurant specialises in succulent fish and steak delivered daily from England and Scotland’s freshest markets. They took their inspiration from their travel to Spain, Italy, and France, only to bring the most awesome dishes to the city of London. They’re situated just north of Hyde Park, between Lancaster Gate and Paddington, and they’d be happy to welcome you on Boxing Day.

Maroush: after a walk in Hyde Park

It’s no secret that Lebanese food is considered one of the best cuisines in the world, and there’s nothing like Middle-East treats to warm up after a long walk in London. Located in the heart of Connaught Village, just a quick walk from Hyde Park, this lively, two-floor restaurant is the spot to go for amazing Lebanese food. Whether you come for lunch, dinner, a glass of traditional wine, or to enjoy some live Lebanese music and belly dancing, at Maroush you're in for a heated Boxing Day.

Crockers Folly: after a walk in The Regent’s Park

If it’s traditional British food you’re looking for during Boxing Day, then it doesn’t come better than Crockers Folly. Located in the heart of St John’s Wood, right next to The Regent’s Park, this 19th-century institution combines amazing British food with French influences and delicious local wines. Head along for a candlelit meal, a dinner party in their private dining area, or simply to socialise with friends. Expect a marble bar, original Victorian features, a fireplace, and don’t forget to look up at the intricately decorated ceiling.

Bob Bob Ricard: after a walk in Soho

Bob Bob Ricard is doubtless one of Soho’s most famous institution and one you’ve probably seen a thousand times on social media. This fine dining restaurant offers luxury English classics with Russian influences. From chicken kiev to lobster mac, it’s comfort food made to impress. Nothing like a good glass of champagne to celebrate Boxing Day. Don’t even bother ordering it, at Bob Bob Ricard you simply press on their champagne button and it will be brought to you just like magic. Spasiba!

Burger & Beyond: after a walk in Shoreditch

After a long walk, you need to recharge those batteries of yours, and we’ve got just the right idea for that: BURGER. After winning the hearts of Londoners, Burger & Beyond opened its fourth venue on Shoreditch High Street. This spot is home to some of the most towering, juicy, gluttonous burgers in London. In addition, you’ll also find drinking snacks and small plates including lamb nugget, shaved rib cap and mushroom, cured egg yolk and lardo on toast. Yeah, because French fries are so last year.

Mac & Wild: after a walk in Fitzrovia

If you’ve been walking in Mayfair/Soho/Fitzrovia, we can only advise you to take a break and head to Mac & Wild. These guys serve the very best Scottish produce, including their award-winning Veni-Moo burger. Not a big fan of haggis? No worries, they’ve got lots of other treats from our cousins from the North, such as rib eye steaks, haggis, dirty buttery mash, Venison scotch eggs, seafood, and a LOT of whiskeys. Don’t hesitate to book their private dining room for more intimacy. At Mac & Wild, you’re in for a true Scottish experience.
