At ResDiary, we’re truly passionate about burgers, so we’re delighted to introduce our top five picks for the best burgers in Dublin. Ready, set, go!

Dillinger’s

American, Brunch, Cocktails

Dillinger’s is a New York City style restaurant, serving “American influenced progressive feed”. Their food is fun, punchy, generous, and all about flavour and integrity. And the best part is their meat. These guys serve all kinds of mouth-watering steaks so it’s no wonder their Dillinger’s burger is a piece of paradise on earth. It’s composed of fresh beef, smoked cheese, crispy paprika onions, secret sauce (ohh mysterious) and pickles. Enjoy their Monday burger special: one burger and a beer/glass of wine for £16.

Luigi Malones

Based in Temple Bar, near Trinity College, Luigi Malones is the spot to head when looking for the best burgers in Dublin. The restaurant’s menu has been inspired by journeys around the world and features mouthwatering burgers in a very cool and trendy venue. They’ve got seven different burgers, all triple deckers and made with pure Irish beef. From bacon & cheese burger to black pudding, chicken schnitzel, pulled pork burger, you’ll be sure to find something for each taste. On Monday and Tuesday, get a two-course menu and a glass of wine/beer for £20 – nothing like a good burger to kick off the week the right way!

Buskers on the Ball

Do you like burgers? Do you like sport? How about, eating a delicious burger while watching sport? Buskers on the Ball is Dublin’s newest interactive sports bar, showing all major live sports daily on Dublin’s largest indoor video wall. Their classic burger is simply to die for: choose from ½ pound Irish Angus beef or chicken fillet burger OTB secret burger sauce, cured bacon and Irish cheddar cheese with beer battered onion rings and fries. Reserve a ping pong tool, foosball or shuffleboard table for a guaranteed fun night!

Gotham Cafe

Located in the heart of Dublin, just off Grafton Street, is Gotham Café, a casual contemporary restaurant featuring delicious steaks and Irish chicken. Their menu changes pretty often, offering new delicious burgers every time. But you’ll always get to find their (not so) classic Gotham burger – a real delight. At Gotham, it is mandatory to accompany your burger with one of their wines, cocktails, or Irish and international craft beers (or at least it is for us). The Butcher Grill

Steakhouses usually make the best burgers. And in terms of Steakhouse in Dublin, it doesn’t come better than The Butcher Grill. These guys specialise in fine cuts of meats, grilled to perfection in their wood-smoked grill. Alongside juicy and mouth watering steaks, you will find their aged burger, made of fresh beef, house pickles, smoked cheese and paprika onions – YUM! Don’t wait any longer and book your spot!

The Barge

Situated on the banks of the famous grand canal, overlooking the lock gates is The Barge, an authentic Irish institution, serving some of the best burgers in Dublin. Their delicious barge beef burger is made of 8 oz of prime steak minced, baby gem, tomato, and pickled gherkin. However  if you’re more of a chicken type of person, their chicken burger made with tomato, crispy lettuce and onion ring is pretty amazing too. These guys are usually quite busy and it’s advised to book your table in advance.
