About The Vestry Restaurant and Bar
An venue offering good quality food and excellent service. Individually styled, casual enough to be comfortable, smart enough to feel special.
Relax and enjoy our great lunchtime menu and coffee, and if you're feeling a little rebellious why not a cheeky glass of wine, the venue opens it's doors at 11am and is a great place to relax and eat with friends, colleagues and business associates.
We host Dining & Dance every other Saturday night
Every other Saturday night, when you can enjoy three courses with wine for only £35pp.
Our Pre-theatre menus are the only menus available for the 2 hours before a show across at the Mayflower, with the Express Lunch being available any other weekday between 12-3pm
Wonderful evening. Will be back.
I did not like eating from a board and would have expected spoons to serve fajitas!! not just knife and fork. Also panacotta was completely disappointing. I was advised it was raspberry not a raspberry in sight and served in a glass topped with strawberries, meringue and thick cream!! Not a panacotta at all more an eating mess your chef needs to rethink -awful .
We waited over an hour for our food to arrive and then had to rush it because of our theatre show. For a restaurant that caters to the theatre goers this is unacceptable. Food was mediocre.
We were looked after so well as a group, having to re-lay our large group downstairs as we had a wheelchair user which I had not remembered to specify. Nothing was too much trouble, great pre theatre meal.
Fantastic venue for a pre- or post-theatre meal, our go-to venue every time we visit the Mayflower! Food is always good, sometimes a little on the cold side as it's so busy and on our recent visit on 17th June there were only 2 waiters looking after the whole restaurant, and although they were amazing and were working really hard, it was evident that they were short-staffed. Will definitely be visiting again though as the atmosphere and decor is lovely, and very convenient location for the theatre.
Our Waiter David, was polite, knowledgeable and attentive. The food was very good, my girlfriends steak was cooked perfectly and the crushed potatoes were lovely and creamy. My Vestry burger was delicious !
The wait between first and second course was a bit too long (a group of 4 at the next table arrived after we received our first course but their first and second course was received before our second course). Apart from that, a great experience and we'll be back.
A favourite spot for pre theatre lunch or dinner and fabulous cocktails
