About The Bunch of Grapes
We like to think that “The Bunch” as we’re fondly referred to, is how a great pub should be, and we are proud to say the Good Pub Guide agree with us, naming us the 'Dining Pub of the Year' for the UK.
We are creators and passionate about what we do. We brew our own beers, bake fresh bread every morning and create unique inventive seasonal dishes, with an emphasis on locally sourced, sustainable and seasonally fresh ingredients.
We like to break the rules- you can grab a homemade burger and a craft beer in the bar or a fine wine and modern British cuisine whilst dining with friends in the restaurant- either way its your call.
Where you can enjoy a home made pie and mash in the bar with a pint of Welsh ale while cheering on the Welsh rugby and then return with friends to a fine dining meal in the restaurant with wines from around the world the next.
But if you prefer you can just sit in the corner, read your paper, enjoy your beer and be happy you have found us.
Superb lunch and great attentive service. Already planning our return.
Great xmas lunch. First time visitors, will prob be back
Small Christmas party with good food and drinks. Will return!
A great service and we were very well cared for at all times. Thank you also for allowing us to take our good lucj cakes in for our colleagues.
Extremely disappointed you did not provide a full alternative to your Christmas menu to a colleague who had allergies to some of the items on offer meaning she had to sit for over an hour waiting for her main course and dessert to be served whilst we all had several other courses beforehand. We dont understand why you were initially unwilling to make any provision and it was only after several email exchanges the 2 alternative courses were agreed. We feel the set menu is just too 'set' for a large group. The food was of a high quality though in terms of value for money perhaps a little costly at £39 per head. The staff very attentive and efficient.
Whilst the food and service were excellent we felt that a dish of vegetables and some sort of potato dish on the table should have been included in the price.
I'm a regular at The Bunch of Grapes and this year was up to me to choose where to take some colleagues and suppliers for a Christmas evening out. My guests were impressed by the warm welcome atmosphere upon arrival and also by the Otley and guest real ales on tap! We were seated without fuss and dinner started with a glass of chilled Posecco. Each course was announced so we knew what we were about to eat and we weren't dissapointed! Each course was superb, beautifully presented bursting with flavour and a pleasure to eat! If this is a sample of what is to come in the future from new chef Tom and his team I'm expecting big things in the future! If you haven't eaten at The Bunch of Grapes, make sure you do soon!
Lovely food and beer.
