Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Succulent chicken and fab chunky chips. My mum had the gammon, again she loved it and Mum in law had salmon which she said was perfect. Cake wise, the rocky road was by far my favourite
I booked a table for mother's day high tea. The food came to us very quickly and the server was very attentive and friendly. I also enjoyed the vast array of drinks that were on offer as extras along with our tea. We both ordered the roast beef. The beef and potatoes were delicious but I was a little disappointed with the Yorkshire pudding which was flat and a little dense and hard. The selection of cakes were nice but nothing spectacular. I expected a few more cakes rather than the 1 scone and 1 small cake each that we had. Although me and my mother are not a fan of scones we cannot argue with how nice and moist the lemon cake was and the little empire biscuit. I would have preferred that the scones were ditched with a couple more cakes on offer as other high teas I have attended offer a bigger selection of cakes for a cheaper price. It would also have been nice if the cakes were served on a cake stand rather than a boring plate to make it a bit more special for my mum. A nice meal at a nice restaurant but nothing to really get excited about.
Nice Mother's Day Afternoon Tea, without being anything stand out or special. Would visit again to try regular menu though.
We booked out the whole area upstairs. Staff especially Darren was very accommodating, excellent attention paid to all guests. Good time had by all.
Mother's day set menu so service was very quick with a nice atmosphere. Asked for some tap water three times and did not recieve any at all. Otherwise everything was lovely.
First time here (as.from Livingston) and really enjoyed the food. would definitely come back
Love you restaurant and food is fab but place could do with being a bit warmer on the occasions we have been in found the place quite cold service was fab really friendly
