About The Plumpy Duck at Bowfield
The Plumpy Duck at Bowfield Hotel is a new contemporary bar and restaurant.
Our chefs have created a modern menu, capturing the best of what Scotland’s larder has to offer. With 100% Scottish reared beef from the lush hills of Scotland, seafood from Loch Fyne Fisheries and game sourced from Highland estates.
Featured alongside great classic dishes and some firm family favourites.
Afternoon Tea is served daily, 12.00 - 17.00
Chowder tasted fabulous, but it would have been enhanced by serving it with a small piece of bread to soak it up.
What a great new restaurant at the bowfield hotel. From the moment we walked in we were so well looked after and the Duck special was awesome. Looking forward to coming back next week with friends.
Absolutely love this place it is so cosy & welcoming but this visit compared to other times I have dined here was a bit of a let down. The food was lovely but portion size has gone down significantly and for the price you pay we were a little disappointed.
Very cosy and warm environment. Staf were very friendly and welcoming. Food was lovely. Will definitely be back.
This was our second year coming to the bowfield for mothers day lunch and yet again, it didn't disappoint. Fantastic service and the food was tremendous. Would highly recommend.
Booked for 11.30-only lunch slot available so was disappointed when we arrived and was advised lunch didn't start till 12. Not sure why this booking slot was available? Apart from this food good, good atmosphere and quick friendly service
The ladies toilets let the place down. One of them was blocked and despite the fact I reported it was left open and people were still using it. Apart from that two ladies toilets for the amount of people was insufficient. The decor was also very basic for an establishment trying to be a bit upmarket.
I had the ciabatta with streak and mustard. The mustard completely over powered the sandwich to the point of not being edible. Far too much mustard. Other than that very nice just go easy in the mustard . And I like mustard...
